The reason we are here! The Opening Ceremonies were held in the Olympic Stadium – ANZ Stadium. Lots of participants, lots of spectators and lots of entertainers. Participants marched in according to their sport and only in the Masters Games is there a category entitled ‘Stragglers’ – those participants who didn’t arrive on time! While marching in Gerry noticed plaques set into the sidewalk – gold, silver & bronze with the names of Olympians. One that caught his eye right away is in the following photos.
And of course there was golf happening. The course that impressed Gerry the most was the one right on the ocean – the New South Wales Golf Club. He wasn’t impressed with the wind though!
