Took a tour to Kuranda (a village up the mountain) in Barron Gorge National Park by scenic railway along the mountainside through numerous tunnels and returned by cableway suspended over the rainforest & the Barron River.
While we were in Kuranda we visited the Heritage Markets which are open every day & have lots of local arts, crafts & produce. Also went to theRainforestation Nature Park to visit the Koala & Wildlife Park and tour some of the rainforest via an Army Duck (very interesting ride through the trees AND the water)!
